Welcome Les Johnson!

Simmons has recently, and proudly, announced the addition of Les Johnson to its Simmons Field Pro team. Les is a well known Coyote Calling champion who has won World, National and Midwest Coyote Calling Championships and has also hosted Predator Quest, a TV show on Sportsman Channel.

Simmons is thrilled to have him as part of the Simmons Field Pro team and to know that he values their many exceptional scopes, hunting and sport equipment products.

More about Les Johnson

Les Johnson was raised on a farm in South-Central Nebraska. He hunted a great deal in the fall and winter, enjoying decoy duck shooting, coyote hunting and more.

He started calling coyotes when he was only 16. He became more and more interested in the field as he grew and wanted to outsmart coyotes. With his degree in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, he would enjoy hunting and calling almost every weekend. Soon, he was competing in calling coyote competitions with his brother.

Winning Competitions

To date, Les has won many competitions. He's won a World Championship, two Midwest Championships and five National Coyote Calling Championships. Of course, he also has many second and third place finishes. With these accomplishments, he's turned his attention towards the TV show, Predator Quest. In its first year on TV, the show won three awards from The Sportsman Channel it won the Best Show Open and the Best Small Game or Turkey Episode. And Les won a silver Davey Award in a national competition with the show open.

Les also has his own Predator Calling Products and a number of DVD's on calling predators. Certainly, he hopes to add to this list and to continue winning at competitions and creating more shows and products to highlight his coyote calling abilities.
