Varmint Riflescopes
"Got that little varmint in my sights!"
I don't really know if anybody ever really says that - seems I heard it on television when I was a little kid. But, there is truth there, regardless. Varmints have been targets for a long time, and varmints include such small game as rabbits and larger animals that come and harass farm animals - at least that's the way varmint used to be applied.
Today, when we talk about varmint scopes we're talking about long range accuracy for either varmint or target shooting, scopes which are designed for precise performance. And, there are a few companies out there producing some very excellent scopes for precisely this purpose.
Barska's Varmint Riflescope
Barska's Varmint rifle scope with an adjustable objective, (the Barska 6-24x50 Varmint Rifle Scope w/Adjustable Objective- AC10050 Riflescope), is new to the Barska family and combines affordability without compromising quality. The larger objective lens on another of their scopes, the Barska 6-24x50 AO Varmint Riflescope, increases light transmission and multi-coated optics mean superior clarity. These riflescopes provide the advantage when it comes to long-range and deadly accurate targeting. They are waterproof, fog proof and shockproof and the engineering includes a focusing objective for parallax correction along with easy grip turrets.
Tasco Turns One Out, Too
Tasco was originally founded by George Rosenfield in 1954 and in June, 2002 Wind Point Partners, the parent company of Bushnell Performance Optics, purchased Tasco Worldwide Inc. From Tasco Holdings. Just five years later, in July 2007, Wind Point Partners sold Bushnell Performance Optics, along with Tasco property and sales rights, to MidOcean Partners, a private equity firm in the US and England.
But, even with all of the trading, buying and selling, the name Tasco elicits respect, especially when it comes to precision performance in riflescopes. The Tasco Target and Varmint riflescopes are designed for precision and accuracy. All Tasco Varmint scopes have high-quality, multi-coated optics which ensure crystal clear, high resolution images. The large objective lenses deliver impressive brightness and fine tuning windage and elevation adjustments are delightfully simple. The 1/4 or 1/8 minute click adjustments mean you can click to zero the rifle, and then once that's done you can dead aim your target by working out the different ranges. The Zoom ranges from 6 times to 24, even though that kind of magnification isn't really necessary for the small targets, it's nice to have.
The Tasco Varmint and Target Riflescopes are tough, one piece construction which makes them very strong. They're waterproof, fog proof and shockproof, meeting the standards of the most demanding and accurate shooters.
